Why I'm Running
Meet the Candidate
A Fresh Voice. A Fairer Future.
I am a lifelong advocate for working families, transparent government, and stronger local communities. I am running to represent Ohio’s 89th District, bringing the energy of a new generation and the practical experience of someone who understands both public service and everyday economic realities.
I have deep roots in Sandusky, where my family has long been part of the fabric of our community. Many of my relatives have worked in unions or served as public servants, from factory workers to municipal employees, dedicating their careers to hard work and supporting their neighbors. Growing up around them, I saw firsthand the value of labor, the strength that comes from collective effort, and the importance of standing up for fair treatment in the workplace. Those experiences taught me not only the significance of community and service, but also the responsibility we all share to give back and create opportunities for others. They shaped my commitment to policies that support working families, invest in our local economy, and strengthen the neighborhoods we call home.
While in high school, I balanced academics with work in local restaurants and small businesses. I also served as class secretary for three years and was active in student council, which gave me early experience in leadership, organizing, and representing the interests of my peers. During that time, I volunteered with community programs that supported schools, youth initiatives, and neighborhood improvement projects. Those experiences showed me the importance of strong public institutions, reliable infrastructure, and economic opportunity in helping families thrive.
In college, I pursued a degree in Political Science with a specialization in Political Leadership and Reform from Ohio State University, while continuing to volunteer extensively in my community. I worked with organizations focused on education, small business development, affordable housing, and pathways to economic opportunity in both Sandusky and Columbus. Through these efforts, I saw how policy decisions directly affect working families and learned that effective leadership requires listening to residents, understanding their challenges, and taking action to prioritize their needs.
After graduation, I have remained deeply involved in the community I grew up in. I work alongside local businesses, unions, and neighborhood groups to strengthen infrastructure, expand job opportunities, and support initiatives that help families get ahead. Every step of my journey, from my family roots to my leadership and volunteer work in high school and college, has reinforced my commitment to standing up for working families and ensuring their voices are heard in government.
At 21, I bring energy, perspective, and dedication to Ohio House District 89. My vision is to revitalize our district with practical solutions that prioritize working families, economic opportunity, affordable housing, strong schools, and transparent government. I believe leadership is defined not by age but by commitment, experience, and the willingness to fight for families who are working hard to build a better future.
