Vermilion, Ohio — Easton Retzke, Democratic candidate for Ohio House District 89, attended the Get Out the Vote Mixer hosted by the Vermilion Democratic Club, joining local activists, volunteers, and community members committed to strengthening voter engagement across the region.
The event brought together a wide range of supporters focused on the shared goal of increasing turnout and building momentum ahead of upcoming elections. Conversations centered on grassroots organizing, connecting with working families, and making sure every voter understands what’s at stake.
“I’m grateful to the Vermilion Democratic Club for hosting an event that brings people together around something that matters so much,” said Retzke. “Winning elections starts with showing up, having real conversations, and making sure people feel heard. That’s how we build the kind of movement that can actually deliver for working families in our district.”
Retzke emphasized the importance of local engagement and person-to-person outreach, noting that strong communities are built through consistent involvement and shared purpose. The mixer served as an opportunity to connect with voters and volunteers who are energized to play a role in shaping the future of Ohio.
Also in attendance were fellow Democratic candidates, including Judge Myron Duhart, Mindy Kael, and Paul Meisel, each of whom is working to bring accountable, community-focused leadership to local government. Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration up and down the ballot and the shared commitment to delivering results for residents across Erie County.
As the campaign continues, Retzke plans to build on this momentum by expanding outreach efforts, attending community events, and working alongside local organizations to ensure voters across District 89 are informed, engaged, and ready to participate.
