July 9, 2026
WAKEMAN, Ohio — Campaign representatives gathered with area residents and local leaders at a town hall hosted by the Wakeman Talk Team to discuss key issues facing Ohio’s 89th House District.
The event, co-hosted by the Huron County Democratic Party and Firelands Indivisible, offered voters an opportunity to engage directly with candidates on regional priorities. Discussion centered on core platform initiatives, including strengthening public education, supporting working families, and expanding economic investment across local communities.
“Engaging with voters in Wakeman and other rural areas in the district, and hearing their perspectives firsthand, is essential to building a platform that truly serves our district,” the candidate said. “I’m grateful to everyone who came out to ask thoughtful questions about our public schools, our workforce, and the future of our towns. Community conversations like these are where real solutions begin.”
The evening also featured presentations from fellow candidates Cass Fryman, Kevin Rasnick, and Brian Shaver, candidate for U.S. Congress, highlighting a shared focus on grassroots outreach and collaborative governance across Northern Ohio.
