Retzke Campaign Marks America’s Semiquincentennial with Sandusky Community at Stars & Stripes Celebration

SANDUSKY, Ohio — In celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, campaign representatives and supporters joined local residents at the annual Sandusky Stars & Stripes Celebration today to honor Independence Day and connect directly with voters across Erie County.

Throughout the festivities, a steady stream of community members visited the campaign booth to pick up official apparel, gather campaign literature, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and discuss pressing local issues. Among the many conversations of the day, a long-time resident shared personal observations regarding the noticeable coastal erosion at Sheldon Marsh State Nature Preserve over the years—underscoring the vital importance of protecting local natural resources and Lake Erie’s shoreline.
